Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz issued the following statement today after Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced a Gaza ceasefire:

“I am encouraged that a ceasefire has been reached. I commend President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for helping to mediate this crisis. I am cautiously hopeful that this will lead to an end of the violence and a more permanent peace for Israel and her neighbors. As we give thanks tomorrow, we must keep those suffering from this conflict in our thoughts and prayers.”
