Washington, DC—U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz will be hosting counselors from APPRISE, Pennsylvania’s free health insurance counseling program, to assist seniors looking to make changes to their health care coverage during Medicare’s Open Enrollment. This year, Medicare’s Open Enrollment Period is earlier than in the past—beginning on October 15^th and ending on December 7^th.

“Many seniors in my district and across the country depend on Medicare for their health care coverage,” Schwartz said. “To ensure that these seniors have access to the wide range of benefits available through Medicare, I will be providing additional support to assist them in making any changes to their existing coverage.”

On the following dates, counselors from APPRISE will be available in Schwartz’s district offices between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for 30-45 minute meetings. Due to the high number of expected appointments, the office will not be able to accommodate individuals without scheduled appointments.
