SCHWARTZ TO HOST RETIREMENT EXPO TO HELP

FAMILIES OF ALL AGES ACHIEVE RETIREMENT SECURITY

On Monday, June 7th, U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz will host a Retirement Resource Expo in Philadelphia and Ambler to provide families with information to assess their financial needs and implement a strategic retirement savings plan.

The “Achieving Retirement Security: What Families of All Ages Should Know” event will include representatives from state and federal agencies, as well as non-profit organizations. These experts can provide one-on-one information and resources on career and employment, budgeting, and investment and economic considerations.

Schwartz has worked hard in Congress to ensure that middle-income Americans have opportunities for economic prosperity, including a secure and financially stable retirement plan. This event will provide beneficial information for everyone from a young family wondering how to balance retirement savings with saving for their children’s college education, for individuals approaching retirement age, or for senior citizens currently retired.

Participating agencies and organizations include AARP, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation¸ Financial Planners Association, Internal Revenue Service, National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Pennsylvania CareerLink, Pennsylvania Department of Banking, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Penn State Cooperative Extension, Philadelphia Bar Association, Social Security Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Treasury¸ and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

This event is free and open to the public and will be offered in two separate locations to better suit the needs of the congresswoman’s constituents. For more information, contact Schwartz’s Philadelphia (215-335-3355) or Montgomery County Office (215-517-6572).
