Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Allyson Schwartz (PA-13) released the following statement concerning President Obama’s address today to the American Medical Association (AMA).

“In his remarks to the American Medical Association today, President Obama once again laid out the urgent need for Congress to act - this year - to pass comprehensive health care legislation. I share President Obama’s commitment to building a uniquely American health care system, one that covers all Americans, controls costs and preserves patient and doctor choice.

“I thank the AMA for their commitment to working every day to improve health care in America, and I expect them to join our efforts to ensure that all Americans have access to health care.”
