Host Identity Theft Protection Workshop: February 27

Washington, D.C. - To address the growing epidemic of identity theft, U.S. Representative Allyson Y. Schwartz is leading several efforts to protect consumers. In addition to sponsoring tough legislation to crack down on identity thieves, Schwartz is hosting an identity theft protection workshop on Monday, February 27 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Holy Family University.

At the workshop representatives from the Federal Trade Commission, Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office, Philadelphia Police Department, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Services agency will discuss strategies on how consumers can protect their personal finances and information, as well as what action people should take if they find themselves the victim of identity theft.

Constituents are encouraged to share this information with family, friends, and neighbors. For more information or to register for the workshop constituents should call Representative Schwartz’s Philadelphia District Office at 215-335-3355.
