This Monday, July 20th at 12:20 p.m. at Philadelphia City Hall, U.S. Representative Allyson Schwartz (PA-13), top officials from southeastern Pennsylvania hospitals, and leading health care advocates will host a major press conference on the importance of reforming America’s health care system. Schwartz and others will talk about the need for Congress to pass legislation that contains costs and expands access to affordable, stable coverage for all Americans. As a national leader on health care and a key member of the powerful Ways and Means Committee, Schwartz is playing an instrumental role in the health reform debate. In addition to discussing health reform broadly, Schwartz will also talk about the vital need for reform to include increased access to primary care providers and strengthened consumer protections, both of which are key to improving the quality, efficiency and cost of care for all Americans.
