| Philadelphia - Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz is hosting a series of energy workshops this December. At these free workshops experts from the Energy Coordinating Agency will provide tips and strategies on the best and most cost-effective ways to reduce energy costs. Workshops will include hands on experience in learning how to caulk air leakage sites; use expanding foam insulation; install rope caulk, plastic storm windows, weather-stripping, V-seal and other basic weatherization materials; switch to compact fluorescent light bulbs; and install and program a clock thermostat.
Workshop participants will receive a free energy saving starter kit which includes a box of rope caulk, plastic storm window kits, a tube of caulk, a compact fluorescent light bulb, and two radiator reflectors.
