| Philadelphia, PA - Congresswoman Allyson Y. Schwartz is pleased to announce that she will sponsor the annual Congressional Art Competition for 13th Congressional District high school students.
“I am so proud of the creative students who have submitted their outstanding artwork in the past two competitions, and I have enjoyed showcasing their creativity at the reception, in my District Offices, and at the Capitol. I encourage local student artists to share their talent by entering this year’s competition,” said U.S. Rep Schwartz.
The Congressional Art Competition is a contest in which students across the nation compete to have their art work displayed in the United States Capitol as well as in Congressional District Offices for one year. Students interested in participating should work with their High School Art Department. Interested high schools and students should contact Congresswoman Schwartz’s Philadelphia District Office at 215-335-3355 or her Montgomery County District Office at 215-517-6572 to receive an information packet with Guidelines for Entries, Student/Information Release Forms, and Instructions for Submitting and Delivering Student Artwork.
Students must submit their Student Information/Release Form by April 20 to participate, with artwork due by April 30. Participating student artists will be recognized at a reception for students, families, and teachers hosted by Congresswoman Schwartz on May 6.
