| Sunday, June 14th: U.S. Rep. Schwartz to Formally Announce Local Appointments to Nation's Military Academies | ||
Schwartz will present each of the students with a proclamation offering congratulations on their appointment, as well as an American flag that has flown over the U.S. Capitol. Following the official announcement, a reception will be held in honor of the students.

Biographical Information of Student Appointees
Stephen Rowland resides in Hatboro and attends Upper Moreland High School. He is a member of the Nation Honor Society and serves on student council. He is also involved in his schools recycling and film club. Stephen also participates in his schools swimming, cross country, soccer and lacrosse teams. Stephen will be attending the United States Military Academy.
Kevin Dwyer resides in Philadelphia and attends Roman Catholic High School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, serves as an ambassador for his school and participates in the Big Brother Program at his school, which helps freshman adapt to being in high school. He also participates in lacrosse and cross country at his school. Kevin will be attending the United States Air Force Academy.
Andrew Nagy resides in Harleysville and attends Souderton Area High School. He serves on student council and participates in band/chorus at his school. He also participates in soccer, lacrosse and cross country. In addition to school activities, Andrew participates in his church club and has also reached the rank of Eagle Scout. Andrew will be attending the United States Military Academy.
Kristin Smith resides in Harleysville and attends Souderton Area High School. She plays on her schools track team, and has received various awards throughout her career at Souderton Area High School. Kristin will be attending the United States Naval Academy.
Arkadiy Nigay resides in Philadelphia and attends George Washington High School. He serves on student council, is Captain of his schools chess club, and is a member of the computer club. He also participates in the tennis and swim team. Arkadiy has received various awards, including the Editor’s Choice Award from the National Library of Poetry, and received 2nd placed in a Russian Essay Contest. Arkadiy will be attending the United States Naval Academy.
Yo Han Bae resides in Horsham and attends Hatboro-Horsham High School. He is President of his class and serves on student council. He also participates in swimming and track at his school. In addition to school activities, he is also President a youth group at his church. Yo Han will be attending the Naval Academy Preparatory School.
Brittany Love resides in Ambler and attended Wissahickon High School. She recently graduated from the Naval Academy Preparatory School and will be attending the United States Naval Academy.
Stephen Williams resides in Willow Grove and attended Upper Moreland High School. He recently graduated from the United State Air Force Academy Preparatory School, and will be attending the United States Air Force Academy.
Yale Minn resides in Jenkintown and attended Abington High School. He recently graduated from the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School and will be attending the United States Naval Academy.
