Congresswoman Schwartz believes in the importance of federal investment in meeting critical regional and local needs. She also recognizes that the appropriations process is in need of reform. To that end, Congresswoman Schwartz voted in favor of new disclosure requirements and for increased transparency. The dollar amounts listed below are the amount each community or organization requested.

She will seek to secure funding for each project, understanding that the Appropriations Committee will make the final decision about which projects receive funding, and at what level. If project funding is included in an Appropriations bill in the House, that is NOT a guarantee of federal support. Once the House passes a bill, it must be reconciled with a Senate version and signed into law by President Obama. Congresswoman Schwartz recognizes the important work done throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, and she is pleased to support these organizations and municipalities, each of which approached her with requests for appropriate federal assistance.
